Cool Korean Alochol Drink

I learned this drink from a friend I studied Korean with.  After teaching me this drink, my wife and I usually drink this when we go out for dinner.  It's very easy to make but be careful 'cause this drink can get to you very fast. It's a mixture of a 소맥 (So-Mek) which is half soju and half beer with the addition of coke or any kind of soft drink you like.

The drink is called 고진감래 (Go jin gam lay) which means NO PAIN, NO GAIN.

What you need:

-1 bottle of beer
-1 bottle of soju
-1 bottle of coke/pepsi or any kind of soft drink
-beer glass for each person
-2 soju glasses for each person

How to make it:

1. First put one soju class in the beer glass and fill half the glass of soju with coke or pepsi.

2. Next, put the second soju glass on top of the first soju glass and pour soju into the glass until it reaches the top line of the first glass. (you can fill the whole glass if you want)

3. Last add beer until the beer glass is full.

4. Drink the whole glass in one shot.

The idea of this drink is to give you a sweet after taste so you dont get the bitter taste at the end.  If you know the taste of soju or the taste ot 소맥 (So-Mek) than you know what I'm talking about.

Try this drink out if you can and let me know your thoughts.

There is a mixture of wine, beer and different kinds of spirits.  There's even a shaker and all the things you need to make you own martini.  I decided to drink Hennesy and coke.  We spent a couple hours hanging out here.  The best part about it was that it was incluided in our package.

Overall, we had a great time here.  It was only for one night but we did many things.  The location of the hotel is very good as well.  There are many things near the hotel such as convenience stores, coffee shops and restaurants.  With this package however, everything we needed was availble to us at no charge.  If you are hungry or thirsty you can go up to the club lounge anytime and grab a bite drink.  The fitness club and swimming pool are available as well so there are many things to do.

Coex Mall and the famous Gangnam Station are also not to far away.  Both are only a station or two away by subway but if you really want to enjoy the nice views, you can walk.

This kind of package is difficult for most people to find because they are only offered on Korean websites but they are available to foreigners as well.  If you are coming to Korea or if you are in Korea and would like to relax for a weekend, contact us and we can try to find you a package like this.

We offer booking services for things like this.  At Fun Life in Korea we want to offer other people the chance to have fun in Korea but at good prices.

Studyin Korean Sites

Talk To Me In Korean(TTMIK) is an awesome sight for learning Korean. The best thing about it is that it is free! They have MP3 and PDF files for you to download so you can listen from the Iphone or any mp3 player. The teachers are good and the lessons are fun and interesting. They explain Korean grammer well and give you a lot of sample sentences to learn from. I've used other sources to learn Korean and while some others are also good for learning, I find this one to be the best one so far.
